HOI4 1.93 w all DLC except LaR. SP Ger 1936. Regular.

Just finished a run through to August 1941. Starting w 1800 FTR, 600 CAS, 6 LARM 5/2/2, and 7 INF 10/0 @ 100% strength and 60% equipment. Warsaw in 23hrs, Poland in 20 days, Latvia, Estonia, Denmark, & the Dutch over the next 50 days, Paris in three days, France in ten, eventually Belgium. Sea Lion had several false starts due to failure to import any oil... finally the British capitulated and with my back secured I see MEFO repayments and long road to 'My' Pacific ports... By now I've added 18 lumbering MARM 9/5/4 w Ostwind SptCo and early HTD SptCo to the INF. Most are at 100% personnel/equipment. Starting June 6th, I have Moscow in 29 days and capitulation before August. All without using any allies.

This was accomplished using several lessons gleaned from the assembled academy of tacticians here in this august forum. (Thank You)!

I've traditionally used the right branches of the Mobile Warfare Doctrine and I'd like to try my hand using the Superior Firepower Doctrine. I've looked over the following three threads and was wondering what salient points jumped out to you that would benefit a SF novice and what changes to templates/tactics/techniques should be applied?

Superior Firepower is not buffing Artillery
Upgrade to Superior Firepower Doctrine
Mobile Warfare vs Superior Firepower stat comparison

Thank you.

Depends heavily on your playing-style.

For me, the MW-Doctrine with "focus" on speed and breakthrough for tanks "forces" me to micro ( great encircling and overrun )
The SF-Doctrine with better soft-attack is tending to more infantry-combat. Sure, you can still perform ecirclements and overrunning with tanks, but it will be a bit more difficult and more time-consuming.

With MW you can field tank-divisions even without mot/mech; with SF it seems not to be a good idea, due to lower ORG.
-----------------

When I use the SF-Doctrine I do not go for light-tanks; instead I go for heavy-tanks and of course for many infantry.
I never attack with the whole frontline; I attack into two or three provinces; having two complete infantry-armies in reserve to "march" through the broken enemy front deep into his rear ( up to 20 or more provinces, then turning 90° to meet the other infantry-army coming from the other breakthrough. )

This is roughly my way to play; other players will have their ways.

I would put the difference between MW and SF, roughly said, in two words : tank-speed - Inf-softattack.

SF also benefits having support companies, you might even gain org with support companies in the tank battalion where they would almost universally lower org with other doctrines.
