Going on vacation

As of the end of the working day today, the entire EU4 development team will be on vacation. Unless there is a critical issue, there will be no further patch updates and probably very little developer communication until we're all back in early August. Part of the QA team will be in office, so please keep reporting any bugs you find via the usual channels.

It's great for productivity actually, US companies really shoot themselves in the foot by not letting employees have a life.

Enough with these posts. I'm still going to be occasionally checking in on the forums and I don't want to have to suffer them for a month.

Generally people like to break it up into a chunk for the summer, a chunk for Christmas, and then another for basically whenever they feel like. A whole month off straight feels excessive to most people here.

We get 6 weeks a year at Paradox.

ok if you say so, but the US is the first world economy for a reason

The US is the biggest economy for a number of reasons (population, natural resources, the dominance of the dollar, etc) and would very much be so even if all Americans got to enjoy a decent vacation. If long work hours and lack of vacation equaled economic prosperity, Bangladesh would be the financial nexus of the world.

Actually, we had our vacations, but thanks for the concern

We just had them a fair bit more staggered than the programmers and scripters.
