I think it should not be this hard to go feudal as unreformed. I think there should be other alternatives to go feudal.
Right now it is: lv4 Tribal Authority AND reformed religion, i think it would be a great addon to make it so that you can go feudal with lv4 Tribal Authority and a nonreformed religion if you have some other requirements
Examples:
* If your capital is a castle
* Your heir is already a feudal lord

What do you guys think of this change? I played a game where i inherited some feudal land, but could not become feudal because of my faith, EVEN THO there where allready a unreformed feudal lord owning the land before me. Makes no sence, i get that you would have to learn to go feudal. But feudalism have nothing to do with religion itself. Maby it's culture should be more appropriate

If your heir is feudal then you will be feudal when you start playing as them but it won't convert your holdings like taking the decision does.

I'd generally be in favor of your idea but I feel like the religion system in the game would need to be fixed first with the difference between reformed and unreformed being less hard for non-tribal rulers. I get that the idea is supposed to represent the domination of Christianity and Islam in the western part of the map but I feel its too one dimensional as is currently.

Just a small caveat, the heir will only stay feudal if the primary title of the heir is the same rank as the primary title being inherited, otherwise they will switch to the government type of the newly inherited higher ranked title.

While I am not opposed to more options to go feudal, it is already dirt easy to go feudal from tribal. Landing your heir in a feudal title of equal rank is quite easy to do if you want to remain independent, and adopting feudalism from your liege is even easier if you don't mind staying a vassal for a bit.

The devs pretty explicitly want it to be hard to become a feudal, unreformed ruler, because being locked at tribal is the main downside to being unreformed. Sure, you can't tweak your tenets/doctrines, but that's generally less important than being able to essentially print money by raiding.

If they took away that distinction, they'd need another way to penalize unreformed faiths so you'd have some reason to convert/reform other than for the lulz.
