(I am posting this here as it apparently affects all Paradox published titles as of late.)

What is the stance of Paradox Interactive on GOG releases of their games?
  1. At first they didn't publish any of their games on GOG because of apparent integration with Steam for multiplayer.
  2. Later, their games started appearing on GOG (Stellaris, Imperator) and other storefronts as well.
  3. Lately, no new GOG release announcements have been made and CK3 still hasn't been released on GOG while they continue to release and announce games for other storefronts (such as Microsoft Store) and continue to support a cross platform multiplayer for all of these games.
What caused the change of attitude from point 2 to point 3? From my point of view, there hasn't been any change whatsoever and Paradox Interactive simply stopped caring about GOG users on a whim. Could this lack of apparent reason be explained in a satisfactory way? Are new Paradox titles never coming to GOG again?

If you disagree with anything, please provide a written comment.

Probably not enough sales to justify the costs of supporting extra storefronts. Much like what happened with Crusader King 2's GamersGate and Steam version in the ages past.

Yes but they have since moved away from relying on Steam for multiplayer and all of their newer games are on the Microsoft Store and Steam (= multiple storefronts). It may still cost them a bit extra to publish on yet another store (haven't seen any numbers from Paradox though) but the old argument is no longer valid.

Even if the sales don't justify the cost of a GOG release (again, no numbers have been provided), it would be nice if somebody from Paradox could simply confirm it. This radio silence is truly annoying.
