GOG Question

Hello, this ma be a dumb question, but this is my first Paradox game. But I was just wondering. I purchased Imperator Rome on GoG, and I was wondering if I could pretty much skip that platform and use the paradox launcher and everything instead? In case you ask, the reason I didn't purchase directly from Paradox is because my card wouldn't work. Thank you.

No, I'm afraid not, only games bought directly from us are compatible with the Paradox launcher (or a handful of Steam games if you connect your Steam account). You should be able to request a refund from GoG though and buy it either on Steam or from us as that will work.

Actually, let me elaborate a bit more as I was wrong ><!
If you buy any of our games that also exists on the Paradox Launcher from GoG (Stellaris, Tyranny, Surviving Mars, Battletech, Imperator) and you redeem the forum key they give you, this games will also appear in the Paradox launcher.

Hello, I would like to buy Imperator Rome on Gog, and I know it's not probable the good way to ask this, but I am wondering if I will be able to play with a friend who own it on steam. Cross-plateform isn't specified in the description of the game.

Moreover, as I am a new Gog user, I would like to know if I could be able to use mods for this game. I mean ones we'll find in the steam workshop. If it is not possible, multiplayer cross-plateform games would be a problem with my friend.

In a general way, I can't found any official and definitive answer on the case of mods on gog.

Probably better to ask this in the I:R forum. What I can say is Stellaris recently transitioned to non-Steam MP so that Steam, Paradox client and GoG players can all MP together.

And the Paradox mod site holds mods for non-Steam editions of other games, one would assume that I:R will be added there too.
