Is there anyone objecting an AAR thread? If not, I shall make one.

What's the problem with having some people invest some time into writing exciting & interesting accounts of what they did? I have always enjoyed reading them. And it's not as if 500 ducats would noticeably change the course of history or unbalance the game, you know? :wacko:

Without any rewards, however, serious & passionate AAR-writing just dies. Even with 200 ducats it was flatlining in "Goetterdaemmerung I".

Mostly wenn i see a reward system i see people that are not motivated to write one write a small eventbased aar which is no fun to read at all, but yet they felt they did us such a favour that in their 5 line sumup they put "AAR reward bonus claimed"

Indeed.
And that was thusly because the reward itself was far too low. That's exactly what happened in "Goetterdaemmerung I".
In "DbD" on the other hand....most AARs were very good indeed and all of them were written with motivation, passion and the will to engage in serious propaganda, which is a nice thing, imo.

Anyway....this valid problem you adress can be easily solved by the GM through defining clearly how big an AAR has to be (how many lines etc.) in order for one to be able to claim the reward.

Aye, and he can judge quality besides size as well. As long as he does adress it. Reading how FAL writes his own AARs im confidence in him

Yet the reward shouldnt be like the "on time bonus" we have already, meaning the rich get richer. (altough i see the logic in the reward)

While being the wealties country in the world, Portugal still wrote an AAR each week for the 200d

I know FAL. From this post of yours I take it you are afraid that I later on, when finding out about the unjustified penalty on TPs, will start screaming and complaining loudly and become generally unpleasent.

But that is of course not the case. This stupid rule has been here from start and anyone entering the game should thus avoid complaining about it later. However, it is only a sign of sanity and wisdom if they now and then state the obvious fact... that it is a stupid rule.
