Played as space hippies (spiritual pacifist xenophiles) and ended up joining a Federation, as one does. Other guys were spiritual pacifists as well, as I recall.

The jackasses decide they want to declare a war of ideology against some non-pacifists, and I vote NO, as I'd rather sit and spin in my space hippie sort of way. They keep proposing, I keep saying NO. (Eventually I think I caved, though.)

100 years later, one of them still hates my guts -- -350 modifier for refusing to go to war, wearing off at a mighty +1 per year. Guess I'll never be talking them into becoming a protectorate ... dammit!

Devs, if you're out there, please, talk the pacifists into forgiving the other pacifists for not going to war, especially if it's been 100 years or so!
