Or hire an inquisitor. Or boost stability to +3.

With an inquisitor it should bring you to 9.7% which gives you a monthly progress of 2.2% which should result in about 45 months of conversion time. Assuming you maintain +3 stability.
It's only 1.2%. An inquisitor gives 2%.
Just have to wait for the counter Reformation.
The inquisitor is only +2% so that would be 8.7%-7.5%=1.2% per month so 83 months to complete.
I'd see if I can pass more +missionary strength decisions or even consider converting to Protestant.
Ah, I thought of that! The thing is, the counter-reformation can't be removed can it? Because the increased tech cost is a bummer.
The only decisions left to increase miss strength is counter-reformation and the witchcraft act, which you get from completing religious ideas.
So the only way to convert that province is to either embrace the counter-reformation, which will give me increased tech costs till the end of the game, going Religious ideas, which is a waste of idea slot in my France game or to be lucky enough that an Inquisitor will show up. Either way it's gonna take a LONG time to convert it, mostly dependent on an Inquisitor showing up.

*rest*
It's removed after 1650 as far as I know. The counter-reformation is removed after an undefinied amount of time.
Pardon my ignorance, but shouldn't there be a "Religious Zeal" modifier adding another -8% Missionary Strength? Unless of course more than 50 years have passed since Paris flipped to Protestantism.
Yep, i dont think I would be messing around trying to convert all those provinces, make the switchAt that point, I think I'd just convert to Protestant.

Then pass the Counter-Reformation decision, pass the Blasphemy Act, the De heretico comburendo act, hire the Inquisitor, pass some of those decisions which give you increased narrow-minded for a while (if you took aristocracy and/or economy). But but I'm so close to getting the curia, and the cardinal bonuses are so good.
Though it's very hard to beat Spain in the Curia game. They have a national idea that gives them influence. I'm also already converting provinces which will give me more influence.
