I know that the game hasn´t been released yet; but while seeing a video from LegendofTotalWar I got and idea. Is about the province capture system; LTW (LegendofTotalWar) discusses the topic if wheter it would be inclined to HOI4 or EU4. I think it would be a good improvement for the series to make a mix between both; this being that if you move an army to a "default" province (a province that has no city like Rome, Capaua, Pompeii or of importatn value) u will instatnly take it (HOI4 style) unless the province has a border frontier or a castra in wich case a siege would start. But if u surround this province meaning taking all others that are adjacent to it the siege will go faster (Example: if i want to take rome and i take all of the province that are sorrunding it the sige will go to my favour). Another thing is that u have the choice to decide what to do in the siege. If u have catapults being able to bombard either the walls or city. By chossing walls u would get a 10% chance of destroing them in the first week, and it would go up each each week by 5% or less depending of how many siege engines and the abilitys of your general are; also u can have an event like u destroyed a tower so less of your soldiers die if u decied to assault the garrison. But if u chosee city you have diferent outcomes 10% destroying granaries so food decreses, 10% port if is costal so less food can be fished from the sea meaning less food income and less trade, 10% the palace or prison so a slave uprising can start and some garrison units die or the slaves take the city and a rebel faction starts, 10% barrack so less weapons are abailable also garrison decreases. Also you could make the catapults throw rotten corpses an a diseas starts in the city and u can have 5% of destroyng the apothecarry so it becomes deadlier. Other thing is that u can have spies infiltrate the city so they can poison the wells, counter fit money, beging an uprising and other things. It would be nice to see what u gus come up too. I have other ideas if you want to know them just write me back I would be glad to help in all I can.
