Ck2 does a half assed job at representing the early start dates. And 1100 is more than 50% longer than 700.Ck2 is 700 years
You are treating these things as the same over this period of time but they are not, they just seem like that to you because you don't know the differences. The perspective of time makes it seem similar to you. 1100 years then is as much time as it is now, yes the technology changed less but the politics were every bit as dynamic as today. 1100 years is almost twice the time since the last pieces of the roman empire fell. It's not the length of the period that's a problem. For example, China could use the same game mechanics throughout most of its history (there's the same trend of civil wars and nomad invasions once in a while).
The problem is when historical events necessitate another mechanic, and in the case of Imperator, the question will be whether nomads can be properly represented. If they can, then the game can go up to 769AD. If they can't, then it can't.
Even if Paradox doesn't support it until 769AD, a community mod is likely to have the game meet with and convert to CK2.
As opposed to what? Several paradox games have even more lacklustre politics. EU4 and Stellaris for an example. Perhaps even ck2. Vic2 is the only game I cna say for certain has better politics. We can hope that Imp will have better politics but we haven't seen any of it yet.The competitor is TW: Rome 2, but that has tremendously lacklustre politics.

I'm sorry when someone seems to think there was no major differences between 300BC (or even 300AD) and 800 AD then yeah I presume that I know that they know nothing. Loads of things happened every year in this period, just as many things as happens every year today. A lot of the details have been lost to us, but to some extent people are just ignorant.Do not presume to know what others know.
How can it be false EU4 has essentially no politics? I have seen let's plays of Rome 2 TW and it doesn't have loads of it but more then EU4 does. This is false.
To play some Celtic and Germanic minors, I could just download that pretty well done mod for EU4 (which even has own troop models). That's probably more detailed as "Imperium" will be during it's release and many years after. If people's best argument for this game are some minor tribes then what has this game which can convince? Nothing. I do not care about graphics too much, but if the setting is boring then try to compensate that at least with the graphics so some buy that game as decoration. Anyway, I wish you all fun with this game, but this game is as boring as Latin "literature" (I am having a hard time recognizing that as literature) is.
Eh far from all Muslims are like that, I grew up with two kids from Iran one was obsessed with pre islamic persia and the other with preislamic egypt.dude i know why you hate it .
thats the jahiliya period for you where everyone was living in darkness and worshiping stones . i know a lot about you to know why you hate the antiquity and everything before the rise of the green flags .
i have a freind who refused to play ck2 just because of that C word in it . he was offended by the name of the game because he was from the " opposite religion" . he also didnt like talking about antiquity . you feel the period is not intresting because to you the jahiliya period is not something important for you . this was the reason you didnt care about the pyramids until the french came out .
romans are demonised on the books and this game is about rome . the pagans are demonised and this game is about pagans .
my advice is to stop being hostile to what the others like . you already got +30 dislike from 3 messages only . if you hate this time period because of cultural and religious reasons feel free to not buy it but for god sake stom poisoning our mood with messages .

There are two kinds of muslims; those who are fascinated by those who came before them and there are those who see those before them as filthy pagans. I am the former.Eh far from all Muslims are like that, I grew up with two kids from Iran one was obsessed with pre islamic persia and the other with preislamic egypt.
Rome rightfully belongs to the Numidians. We saved them from Hannibal at Zama after all!Rome rightfully belongs to Graeco-Bactria
Anyways a question in regards to the game. Has it been confirmed that the game cannot cross into AD?
