Ok, when i get home this evening new dev diary will be written up (Got enough done for all 3 pagan faiths), release set for tommorrow
Yes, i slept in a bit too long this morning so it will be out in the evening, about 4 hours would be my guessIs the release coming today?
I really like the idea of extending the area north of Siberia/Mongolia/Russia, been wanting to do that for a while actually, just proved a bit hard to do research on it. The Yenesei people were pretty interesting when looking them up as well, just would be hard trying to figure out place names i supposeThis mod, while still certainly needing a lot of work, is very interesting; I really like cultures and religions in CK2, and this only furthers my interest. I also have a suggestion; thanks to Ibn Battuta's Legacy, the border between North Africa and the Sahara wasteland was able to be (for lack of a better term) roughed out as opposed to being just a smooth border. So, while it would be a bit harder since there isn't already a mod for it, maybe the border on Siberia could be roughed out and filled in in areas; I know that the Buryats could be placed north of the Uyghur/Kirghiz/Mongolia, and for western Siberia, all that really needs is to have the border changed and a few provinces added (maybe a new culture could be added as well). While on the subject of northeastern Europe, I believe that it would be a good idea to divide the Uralic (Suomenusko) faith into Uralic in the east and Finnic in the west; unless I am mistaken, I'm pretty sure that there were some theological differences between the eastern and western Finno-Ugric pagans.
I'm glad you liked my suggestion for Siberia. I also have other suggestions; for example, while researching, I learned that the Berbers had their own pagan religion, incorporating elements of surrounding classical religions such as the Greco-Roman pantheon, Egyptian pantheon, and Phoenician pantheon, as well as borrowing a few aspects from the Abrahamic religions later on. There's more information on the religion here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Traditional_Berber_religion. In fact, I'm pretty sure that the Barghawatas were followers of this religion as opposed to Islam, as represented in-game. This could be an interesting religion in-game, incorporating elements from well-known pagan groups while also having unique mechanics (and maybe a few mechanics from Islam [probably something like decadence]). It could also probably just use the holy sites the West African faith is given in vanilla.I really like the idea of extending the area north of Siberia/Mongolia/Russia, been wanting to do that for a while actually, just proved a bit hard to do research on it. I hadnt heard about the eastern and western religious differences, will definitely give that a look as well in the future
On a general note since the new expansion is linked to gnosticism it looks like im going to hold off on reworking manichaeism til the dlc comes and focus on bug fixing and some smaller scale stuff til then.

Another thing that could be added is syncretic religions. Before I get started, no, I'm not suggesting that every single faith can get the opportunity to form a new faith with another one, because that would be too much work. However, I do believe that a few syncretic religions could be interesting; a Norse-Christian religion could be interesting for the Vikings in England, and seeing how there's an Indo-Greek culture, I don't see why there can't be a Hindu-Hellenic religion. The steppes have many opportunities for syncretism; perhaps a group of Tengrists with powerful Christian vassals decide that Christ was the son of Tengri, who is the only God (with other gods turning into saints or angels), or maybe a Muslim leader looks into Buddhism and decides that the two different messages aren't contradictory, spreading this information to his subjects. Maybe there could even just be one large syncretic steppe religion, with influences from Tengrism, Christianity, Islam, Buddhism, and Manichaeism. Alright, the last one might be a bit of a stretch, but the opportunity for syncretic religions is still there.
Another thing that is interesting would be the addition of more pagan religions like the Semitic or Zunist religion. I talked about Berber religion, but there are also other religions; for example, there are the Dravidians in southern India, which could make for an interesting Tamil game. Another group are the Hypsistarians in Crimea and Anatolia; while I'm not sure if they were still around by the start of the game, they were an interesting religious group, combining the worship of Zeus Sabazios (a Cappadocian cult) with Judaism. The latter religion would probably serve better under the Israelite religious group than the pagan one, but both could be interesting additions to the game.
Sorry for all the suggestions, this just seems like a really cool mod and I want to try to help (even though I know nothing about modding).
Hmm I'll put out a new link soon still getting used to using discord sorry about thatDiscord says the link has expired.
