That one? By Damarrocain? Really good one. Though is this to be considered as "mod" or a "modpack"? :p

My MOD will of course remain available separately as well for people who like to keep their game more "vanilla". At the moment, I do not see many more updates to it coming but we playtest a multiplayer from sunday onwards to testing should be complete in couple of months.

Perhaps for Monotheism MOD we can include Saqaliba as creatable Muslim Varangian guard (creatable by Andalus, Africa & Mauretania so they get something like Mamluks too).

I like that idea, Andalus gets smashed too easily imo.

So for the new release, the goal is to have a conclave updated version of Zoroastrianism expanded upon (with new features from the older ones) and some of the Jewish stuff will be included. I have to recode a lot of it from scratch so the Jewish stuff will come out in phases.

One other thing I have done is change cb infamy rates a lot for pretty much all of the cb's

Been working on it this evening, I'm fairly busy this week so I havent been able to take any pics but i can confirm the following should be in my first release sometime in the next 10 days (barring a major error)
Pretty much all of the Zoroastrian stuff from this mod has been updated, may have missed a stray file or two involving cultures and titles.

In addition Zoroastrianism now has three religious feasts instead of just Nowruz (Jashan-e Mihragan and Jashan-e Sadah) along with more holy orders and 15 conquest events that involve restoring Zoroastrian Persian rule to Persia and its historical areas (Similar to the Roman events). Zoroastrians also have access to both Patron Deity mechanics and Patron Angel's (this may not be the right word for it, but cant remember the exact word atm).

Zurvanite's also get their own unique Holy Order

Judaism stuff is updating slower due to more work being needed but what has been done so far is:
-Levite trait
-Court Chaplain must be a Levite
-Jewish Rulers can recruit a Levite Priest via the intrigue decision tab
-Jewish Law events and impurity events have been reintroduced and are now random on action events instead of constantly firing annoyances (much better for performance as well)
-The event chain to find the Ark of the Covenant seems to be updated
-Reforming Karaite and Rabbinic Judaism is updated
-Most Holy Orders are updated
-Bar Mitzvah Events have been adjusted to use the new Conclave on action categories
-I want to rework the Holy Day's so they'll be reintroduced in another update.
-Possibly some other Relic event chains (Aarons Rod and reforging the Nehashtun)

Other Stuff
-Missionaries can now appear in pagan courts on the silk road spreading variants of Islam, Christianity (In particular Nestorianism), Buddhism and Manichaeism
-Threat Modifiers for all CB's have been adjusted

So as I was saying in the other thread the purpose of this mod is now to be a module for my greater plans and form the basis of my religion enhancement projects so that they can be more accessible and updated faster. Also means I can have a better base for future projects. Testing is progressing well and it seems I may be able to get the Aaron's Rod and the discovery of the Nehashtun and a event to decide whether to rebuild it or to hide its remains.

Turns out I'm moving into a new house this week and next so I need a couple people to test some stuff out for me if anyone's interested pm me, or just post here. I believe I got the game crashing bugs quashed, just need some people to test it out and find broken localization. If its working, I can release it pretty much within a day or two of someone testing Zoroastrianism and Judaism stuff.

Don't know if I should ask this here or on the Project Augustus forum so here goes nothing. For the past few months I've been making personal mods to an older version of Project Augustus, mainly adding in missing characters, adding in more minor titles for Byzantium, France and other countries, and just finished adding in the Exilarchs of Babylon from around 130 to the early 1200s. I'm wondering if any of my minor modding could be useful in either Project Augustus or Monotheism Rising.

If you want to add further heresy, though it really requires dumping Patron Deity mechanic from other variants, then Sogdian form of Zoroastrianism could be slotted in as well.

Following provinces in CM/ToG start could be this religion instead of Manicheanism:

Chach - 1186
Oshrusana - 1181
Fergana - 1423

Following characters in CM start would have this religion instead of Zoroastrianism, Mazdaki & Manicheanism.

Name of the religion would be Khurmazta which according to sources was Sogdian name for Ahura Mazda.

Description:

Khurmazta is syncretic form of Zoroastrianism which was practiced among Sogdians. It mixes Zoroastrianism with Hinduism, Buddhism and various pagan religions. Aside from Khurmazta (Zarvana), lesser deities such as Weshparkar (Wind God) are worshiped and made offerings, usually in form of small idols or statues.

Defining features in game:

Male rulers may take up to three concubines
Priests (temple holders) may inherit titles.
There is (and can exist) no religious head
Rulers may select a lesser deity to honor.

Mechanics would be as follows:

Divorce (Khurmazta rulers may arrange divorce as as Muslims do by paying money due to lack of religious head.)

Ability to become Sayoshant

Concubines (Male rulers can take up to three concubines)

Khurmazta rulers may intermarry with Dharmic religions.

Patron deity mechanic – Sogdians made icons and offerings to various lesser deities which this mechanic represents nicely.

Desi, the Bountiful one (stewardship +1, martial -1)
Weshparkar, the Wind god (martial +1, diplomacy -1)
Zurvan, God of Time (learning +1, intrigue -1)
Parn, God of Fortune (intrigue +1, stewardship -1)
Nanaiya, the Sensual one (Diplomacy +1, intrigue -1)
Wishaghn, God of Victory (martial +1, learning -1)

Likewise, I do not know how appropriate it would be but Reincarnation mechanic might be appropriate and increase the "Indian" feel of the religion.

LOCALISATION

High god = Khurmazta, Zarvana, Khurmazta Bagh
God(s) = Desi, Weshparkar, Zurvan, Parn, Nanaiya, Wishagn
