According to the wikia 'This arrives after 1600, and will appear in a province owned by the strongest trade power in the most-valued trade-node.'

Now as you can see in the screenshot, it spawned in Bergenshus. This is in the North Sea trade node. That node isn't even close to being the richest (Lubeck is). Also, GB ownes the largest share in that node, and not me (Bergenshus is owned by me).

So my question is, is the description in the wikia incorrect, or is the spawning location bugged? I figured it would spawn in either Hamburg (59 dev) or Lubeck (43 dev) which are in the richest trade node, owned by the strongest trade power (me).

I don't know if it's like this but the way you have written it sounds like it could mean that the game checks the richest trade node which is Lubeck, then the owner of most trade power there which is you and then puts it in a province that is owned by you, anywhere I guess? So maybe it's not forced to spawn in the richest node, but to any province of the highest trade power in the richest node.

Edit: Not any province owned by you, but any estuary or center of trade owned by you, more likely.

It starts in any CoT, capital or province in the richest node, for the player that has the most power in the richest node.

If was true, then it should've spawned in Lubeck, and not in the North Sea.

No. Global trade can spawn in any province as long as:

  • That province is owned by the nation that has the most trade power in the most valuable node (Which is you)
  • AND the province isn't an island (Which Bergenhaus is not)
  • AND that province satisfies at least one of the following criteria:
  • It's a centre of trade, or an inland centre of trade (which Bergenhaus is)
  • OR it's a capital
  • OR it's a province in the highest-value trade node.
So there's nothing unusual happening here.

Ah thanks for this. I thought it was triggered with 'AND' command rather than 'OR'.
