So, as seen in the below screenshot, I am 5 years away from the year 1600. I recently (some months back) changed my trade capital to Genoa and control maybe 90% of the trade there. Naturally, it's the highest valued trade node in the world by far. So how come the tooltip makes it seem as if Sevilla is where it'd be "most likely to spawn" when it literally can't spawn there. Is the tooltip bugged? Is Milan or Popeboy 100% going to get it because reasons? I'm confused.

Tooltips could be notoriously bugged, but if you satisfy the conditions, it should still spawn in Genoa for you. Is by any chance your capital in Sevilla? That could cause the wonkiness with the tooltip, or it could be that if it is indeed your capital and you moved it there after you moved your trade capital to Genoa, it also moved your trade capital there.

This is a little embarrassing, but I actually just figured it out. For one reason or another, the English Channel had a higher value on the trade screen than Genoa, even though I made a lot more ducats with trade efficiency modifiers and such. After reconsidering my merchant setup, I managed to pump the Genoa node quite a bit higher, though, and now the tooltip actually works. :D Honestly, trade is a bit of an enigma sometimes.
