*** COMPETITION GUIDELINES ***
*** COMPETITION GUIDELINES ***
- Recreate a functioning eco-friendly suburban area using only Cities: Skylines base game, and eventually its DLCs, Expansions and Content Creators Packs.
- Have a minimum of 1000 inhabitants in your City.
- We will judge your submissions based on 4 main criteria:
- Eco-friendliness: How did you choose to integrate sustainability elements in your build? What is the pollution level in your build?
- Functionality: Is the city running properly, with its electricity, water, transportation system, etc.?
- Creativity: How does your overall build stand out of the crowd? How is it unique, special?
- Aesthetics: How does your suburb look? How well did you use the terrain and environment to build your suburb? Is the style consistent? What is the level of details?
- You will need to create the main city from which your suburb will depend, but don’t spend too much time on it, we will focus the judging on the suburban area.
- There is no restriction in style, type of maps and landscape. Be creative, we are looking for diversity and creativity!
- Remember, there are many ways to approach sustainability in our cities and suburbs. You can work on a great public transportation system to reduce the use of private cars, bring in more shops and services in your suburb to limit the need to go to the main city, focus on renewable energy, recycling and reduce pollution, integrate your suburb in nature, etc.
- To allow for a fair comparison between all platforms, we decided not to allow the use of mods for this competition.
