I've talked about this before on this forum but i wanna make sure someone at paradox hears this out cause i think it is an awesome idea.

Basically this. Give pet dogs, cats, and horses their own models and character screens. Every time a character acquires an animal, be it a dog, a cat or a horse, have the game spawn it in as a character and let the player name it like he would a son. Display them in the relationship tab under "Pets". Throw in regional variants for different breeds, like European Greyhounds, Arabian Horses, Persian Cats. Have them hanging around in the Royal Court. Throw in some flavour details like witches getting black cats. Horses wearing armour when their ruler is out in the field. Give them traits that makes them unique. Like a particularly fast Horse would make you less likely to be captured after losing a battle. Or a loyal Dog will increase your resistance to schemes by barking at every intruder. Or a Cat that's so ugly it makes you gain dread faster. Have some rare events where they end up breeding with other courtier's animals, even. Give them a family tree. And of course, give lunatic rulers the option of appointing any of his beloved animals to the council.

Now this sounds like a lot of work, surely. I understand. But hear me out: I'm 100% certain a DLC containing features like this would sell like crazy. Glitterhoof is by far one of this communities' most beloved memes. And all of this would bring SO MUCH flavour to the goddamn game. CK3 is all about roleplaying and animals were a part of everyday life for most rulers. Having your ruler bond with his prestigious horse and later die with him in battle, and later on his son growing up and learning to how to ride on that very same horse's offspring. Having your dog come up to you with a loving face cause he knows you're sad.

Animals deserve so much more than just being nameless traits, and i really hope paradox sees the potential in this.

I hope the 12th DLC is CK3 pets and has cats, dogs, falcons, horses, elephants, pet fish, reindeer, crocodiles, and camels.

I think making a whole DLC on this idea would be kind of stale, as it's not enough content for a whole DLC. It would probably fit better as part of a DLC like the much needed Nomad Expansion.

dunno, historically having a good horse made the knight, having a good falcon got you great prestige amd helped during hunts, paired with the stress reduction of cats and dogs I could definitly see the potential for gameplay enhancement. Maybe not an entire dlc worth tho.

Probably would work as a flavour pack, really
