Gimmie some goals.

I'm running low on ideas for interesting countries/goals to play for so I'm asking for some fun suggestions. Nothing along the lines of World Conquest or similarly grindy experiences and certainly not starting as a powerhouse but somethinga bit out of the ordinary and not particularly simple/easy. It will be played on Hard or Very Hard mode.

So far I've done just about everything with Scotland, done full conquest of the Americas as the Hansa, done the HRE game, Japan'd my way to Europe, done Germany, horde, mughals and such.

Oh, I play pretty much exclusively MEIOU so there are many more countries to choose from.

Eh, those are mostly about home rules. I'm wanting an interesting game where by 1820 or whenever I finish up, I can print screen my map, look at it and think "beautiful" I felt better about my Greek Oceania game than I did my Euro-American HRE conquest.

I couldn't find the link but I saw a pretty intresting Castille WC. During the WC and after he was done with it he was releasing countries as vassals and shaped them after todays borders. That really looked beautiful.

Chagatai, a small horde but with a possibility to expand into India, and you can form a fully westernized horde(good sliders) to do some sort of WC, i'm not sure this is possible in MEIOU though, alternatively you can form the Mughal Empire and go colonizing Europe and America

Now that's the kind of thing I'm talking about. I'll look into giving that a go sometime soon.

You could play two countries turn by turn and in the end fight one nation with the other. That way you are guaranteed to have a worthy opponent until the end.

Ryazan make a fun game with balancing your payments to the horde whilst trying to keep your neighbours happy and seize a province off any other russian who is weak and hoping that the TO wont come

Do what I'm doing and attempt to spread your primary culture out of its homeland (I'm taking Savoy and settlement-policying the French to Italians). Expand slowly and mostly only after you've converted the cultures.

Play Ming but convert to Buddhism at the game start. Or maybe even Sunni?
