See how the AI does against itself for 900 years, with no human intervention. Maybe start off as Iceland in CK, Mercs or somesuch in EU2, not sure who you should be for Vicky or HOI though.

The ai tends to stagnate in hands off games, at least in EUII. After about 200 years with no player the ai settles into blocks of power and change little.wilcoxchar said:I just had a possibly interesting thought. That will probably chance in EUIII, with things like succession wars and suchDuke of Wellington said:The ai tends to stagnate in hands off games, at least in EUII. After about 200 years with no player the ai settles into blocks of power and change little.
I sure hope so. It will make for some interesting hands off games I think.Snake IV said:That will probably chance in EUIII, with things like succession wars and such

No not 200 years constantly. It usually takes about that long for France, Spain, Austria, OE and Russia to reach a point where they balance each other and don't declare war upon each other. A player in Europe usually weakens one of those powers and causes it to get DOWed more and weakened thus meaning a balance is harder to reach.wilcoxchar said:Is that 200 years of constant playing Duke? Because the AI usually wakes up upon save and reload, which if I do a hands-off AAR I'd do every 20-30 years.
