As the rock is all I can see out of my office window I can assure you its pretty damn big!, but in fairness I imagine the reason it is so big ingame is to allow for a naval base, airport (I am guessing you can have an airport there unless you will share a regional airport with Spain though that doesn't work in rl so I doubt it would work in game.) and the sprite.
Well it sounds as if at least one other person here has actually been there.
Personally, I would suggest that Gib' should only be connected to Spain at one province. Algeciras, if that's on the map. Gib' is not, actually, an island so the link
should be a land one. Although, personally, I think it would be better represented in the game mechanics if the link were a river to represent the difficulty of attacking through such a narrow strip of causeway.
Unless, of course, podcat & PDS are going to adopt the idea of province borders having different frontages. 10 being the norm & Gib'-Algeciras being 1 or
maaayyybe 2.
Of course, it needs to be big enough to click on but what I'd really like to see is that it's the same size as the Pacific sub-continent of
Midway *
I don't see many people complaining about the size of that.
All for the best reasons of common sense.
*OK, maybe not THAT big.
And I'd also like to see limits on the size of airfields, ports, fortifications & infrastructure that can be built on most "islands", but that's been on my wish-list for a very long time.
