I've run into an unusual problem in my latest HttT game that I'm wondering if anyone could shed some light on. I was under the impression that when the nation leading a trade league is conquered or otherwise ceases to exist, that league is disbanded. At least, this is how things appeared to work in my other games. In this particular game, though, Genoa has been overrun (France has Liguria, Corsica is Sardinia-Piedmont, the Byzantines have Kaffa, and the Golden Horde's holding onto Azow), but the Genoese League still exists.

I've checked around the trade mapmode to the other league members to see if leadership might have passed on to one of them, but hasn't seemed to (I know for sure I'm not the leader). I've also checked if another league would take me on, but no such luck. Does anyone know of a way to pull my country out of a trade league besides the "Leave Trade League" button in the diplomacy menu?

In the short run it doesn't matter a whole lot, but I've heard that when you're in a league your merchants use the leader's compete chance. If that is true, I'm concerned about my ability to compete in CoT's in the future when everyone's trade tech reaches higher levels.
