I've got a thorny problem. As King of Ireland, I thought up a grand plan to put my dynasty on the Byzantine throne--I was able to invite the eldest son of the basileus to my court, and then (being his liege), was able to matrilineally marry him to one of my kinswomen. His father promptly died in a suspicious accident, and not even by my hand! Unfortunately, the prince's youngest sibling was "born in the purple", and hence became the new emperor. Not a big deal, I thought--I'd just kill the emperor's daughter, and then the emperor himself, and perhaps the middle prince for good measure.
That's when I saw the problem. When I matrilineally married the prince, he went to the court of one of my vassal dukes. And my vassal, being unable to comprehend my great scheming, decided to name him the successor to the bishopric of Tuam, thus disqualifying him from the Byzantine line of succession.
How do I fix this?
