Getting Rule Brittania as the Raj?

How would one do this? Swaraj route or go free the normal way and hammer them post-war? I'm making a go at this, and I'm wondering what the best way is. My plan is build as many heavy cruisers as possible, spam fighters/CAS, get support from Germany, set my Navy to high repair priority and only engage under air cover, and gain naval supremacy that way so I can naval invade. Is there any way that would be better than that?

Should be doable as any path once you're free. Being democratic is probably hardest for that one, either of the other paths would give you the needed conflict + you can conquer or get MA to reach UK after wearing down their navy.

I just went for it alongside South Africa's since that puts you in the neighborhood anyway though.

I recently got it by going the Swaraj route as fascist. I used an exploit to quickly win the civil war. After that don't join the axis yet. Justify wargoals on Iran than Iraq. The allies didn't guarantee them because they were already busy with Germnay and the countries didn't join the allies so I was able get the peace deal.

You than want to join the axis when Germany is at war with the SU. Join the war against the SU but not the allies. In my game when I joined the SU didn't had any troops stationed near my boarder so was able to advance up the Caucasus without any opposition at first. Eventually you get the Soviet Union to surrender and take as much as you can in the peace deal. At this point with your industry you can join the war against the allies and invade the UK however you want. I'd did by building lots of naval bombers and moved a small fleet a subs. Once the naval bombers cleared the channel I moved the subs in and naval invaded.

For those wondering the exploit to win the civil war fast is to send your whole army to one of the British owned provinces close by. When you trigger the civil war the enemy will get nothing while you keep your whole army. Just transport your army back to India and capture the defenseless enemy provinces.

Haven't tried it as British Raj unfortuantely, jsut did it with the good old Canada run. From what I can tell I'd certainly go either Fascist or Communist route for it. Fascist might be a bit easier, but it depends on how early you get free. I imagine you can potentially get your troops to the French coast and invade Britain from there and do what Germany could not. If Axis are gettign trashed early though, joining Communist and fighting a bit so you can take land should land you something close enough to matter, though generally I detest attackign Britain/The allies after WW2 has ended because there's just so many of them and the amount of divisions slow my game down a lot in the late game wars.
