I am currently playing as exterminating machine empire and I have grown to a noticeable size and everything is going well.
Now there is one thing I am quite unhappy about, I like it to keep it species section"clean", especially when I am a xenophobe or a devouring swarm.
I like too only see my species spread on my planets (which luckily we can now control when selecting a pop to assemble), however, I can not select pops I would like to dismantle. Is there even a way to?
Bio pops are obviously no problem as they get removed automatically.

Could someone tell me if there is a way to get rid of those unwanted foreign robo pops? I tried changing their rights, which does not work and I even tried to make them revolt by putting 100 unemployed pops on a empty planet, I had no luck though, they don't seem to revolt or declare independence.

the only other solution I could give a try would be to conquer a planet during a war, move all pops over there and then let the planet be re-conquered, but that can't be it, right?
Why should there not be a decision I can take to either destroy a different Robot unit or assimilate it to become one of mine?

P.S.
I also have 2 inhabited planets which I regret to have colonized, can I abandon them by simply resettling all pops?

You can use the modify species policy, to change them to your own robot pops.
I tried to do that, but its not an available option, I can only modify my each subspecies if I create a new template.

I'm assuming Machine Empires can't just sell them on the market?
Actually, you can. That's how I obtained robot POPs early game (to fill out some colonies I wanted to grow faster), and then subsequently got rid of them when I realized I couldn't modify them and they were mucking up my growth because they'd get selected from the "any species" growth pool.

Although the opener said something about being an exterminating machine empire which probably means they do not have access to the galactic market (and the slave market).

Also yes, you can abandon a planet by resettling all the pops off of it.

a normal Machine empire may use the slave market, but I coudnt as exterminater.
gues I have no Choice but to live with those unwanted bots... a least I can modify them to look like my starting species.
abandoning the unwanted Planets worked thankfully, this makes killing all the xenos much faster as I dont have to bombard the Planets or wait for my slow ass colosus to do all the work.

Using a Mod to get the species right Undesireables on other Robots (Mechanical and Machine Pops). I can't give Mechanical Pops any Traits because they are not affected by Machine Empire Tech, so I need to get rid of them. Reported this as a bug.

I had a similar problem recently, although not as an ME, but as a xenophobic authoritarian empire - for some reason, I can happily purge bio-pops but for some reason can't get rid of all these stupid little robots everywhere...

So I consoled them...

debugtooltip to get their pop ID
Then I killed them, one by one, like the merciless areshole that I am :D

Granted, not an option on ironman, but I think people who play Ironman are gluttons for punishment!
