Greetings, is there a way to remove a pop playing as fanatic xenophile? My empire is xenophile in the sense that they have research, economic and non-agression-treaties with everyone, but i don't want useless pops so no migration treaties. Unfortunately there is the enforced "refugees allowed policy", and i got my first hit now. Is there any way to get rid of them? I revoked all rights i can, but they still grow. Can i use a colossus (still some time away to get it) on my own planets maybe ?

Hm ok i guess that decides my ascension path. Wanted to go psionic with my megachurch, but i guess i'll instead go bio ascension and make them worthwile. Was hoping for another way to remove them (maybe send them to a planet and release vassal?) but if not its not too bad. All those free research treaties are nice, and with extensive modding the pops would be ok i guess...

Shove them all onto a garbage planet you don't care about then release that planet as a vassal. It doesn't even matter how big the planet is anymore, you could stick 50 pops onto a size 10 planet. They'd be miserable, but they wouldn't be your problem anymore.

You've signed for this. This is what Fan. Xenophile is meant for - they accept other species. If you don't like it, you shouldn't have picked Fan. Xenophile in the first place.

But I know something that might help you: Change Ethics to Xenophobe.

Nah, my trade empire really likes Aliens, as trade partners (aka 0 influence for diplomacy). I normally play xenophobe or authoritarian, but for my megacorp campaign i wanted to try the diplo/econ approach (and subsidiaries of course, can't help it completely^^).

You can turn on "population control policy" in policy tab, then you can manually select which species to grow in every planet. This way doesn't give happiniess penalty in existing xenos but their population will never grow unless you switch in some planets. Keep in mind that this will cause you 20% growth penalty but if you select rapid breeder species, it's only 10% penalty than random species.

You don't have to go bio ascension to do gene modding.

Tbh, playing xenophile (egalitarian) empires almost mandates bio ascension, in particular until they have fixed the current pop growth problems, as your empire will inevitably be overrun with species with sub par hability and traits otherwise.

Shove them all onto a garbage planet you don't care about then release that planet as a vassal. It doesn't even matter how big the planet is anymore, you could stick 50 pops onto a size 10 planet. They'd be miserable, but they wouldn't be your problem anymore.

Can fanatic xenophiles have alien migration controls? Otherwise, they could still migrate to their hearts content. If you are also egalitarian, this won't work in any case.

Get rid of xenophile and migration treaty, it's just horrible. Going bio? Modify 100 species. Going psi? Assimilate 100 species, crash the economy. Bad pops grow on low habitablity planets.

Xenophobe is king, fast expand, fast pop growth. Be an isolationist militarist my friend. It's a heaven for an introvert (like me).
