I know - it's a daring statement but I would like to tell why - as Serbian duke in 1066 Scenario I get very few prestige from events - sometimes up to 25 IIRC is the max. And marriage deals just yield to few prestige.
Then when I play Byzantine Empire in the later scenario's I got truckloads of events where you can fight rebellious citizens or social classes that give you +100 prestige ! OMG ...
prestige from marriage = should be somewhere between 10 and 100. Dunno if this can be scaled depending on different parameters.
prestige from events = +100 for such an easy and frequent event is way too much. Should be somewhere between +5 and +50. But the events yielding lots of prestige should be rather "rare". And also crusading events should yield more prestige !
I also think the amount of prestige accrued for dukes from the amount of counts, is also to small. As duke of Serbia it would take me 90 years to actually have enough prestige to claim one title. So prestige gains from the amount of vassals should have a min. and max. cap. Dunno if this can be dependent on the tier you are at (count, duke or king?).
Prestige imho is the "motor" of the game - money is nice to have to finance this motor - and piety is nice to have to temper and balance the human player.
Basicly I'm not happy with current prestige situation. But I have to apologize cause I don't have the time to actually do all the hard work ... on this
