Getting Papal Bul from Popel & Invasion CB from Ecumenical Patriarch?

I wonder if anyone knows as a catholic ruler how can I get a papal bull,an invasion CB from the Pope like the one William the Conqueror has at the start of the game at 1066? Does such an option exists for the player or just for the AI ? And secondly playing as an Orthodox ruler,it says(under the religion tab when I hover over the patriarch) that I can get an invasion CB from Ecumenical Patriarch but when I check intrigues section and when I enter diplomacy screen with the Patriarch no such option seems available.I have LOR DLC installed.

You can only get an invasion cb from the head of your religion. In your case, you have to find an independent catholic ruler and try the "request invasion" button in the diplomacy menu. IIRC you need to have fewer provinces or a claim on one of their highest level titles. Will usually only be granted if the pope hates them.

Thanks.I remember somewhere that your realm should be smaller than your intended target's.So theoretically when playing an orthodox faction,I need to find an independent Orthodox ruler who has a bigger realm than mine and request from the Ecumenical Patriarch an invasion cb right?

Only catolics have invasion, ortodox does not.

Technically, if the Ecumenical Patriarch was freed from being a vassal to BYZ, then he could grant invasions.
