So I have some dynasty members with a weak claim on a certain large tract of imperial Mediterranean real estate. Benevolent relative that I am, I would like to claim this land for them. However, the obvious problem is that I need them to have a female ruler, a title revolt, or a regency. The first two are unlikely, since they're under Elective succession and without high status of women.

Because of this, I've turned to regency as my most likely way in. That said, I've waited through two rulers on both sides without them so much as taking a nap and letting someone handle their affairs for the day. Is there some way I can force a regency, or at least make it more likely to happen before my claimants die off?
