I am playing a game as Burgundy and I have been expanding using almost only Dip vassal or force vassal. Then integrate the countries over time to save Monarch points. I just seems like actually conquering stuff is so inefficient due to the extreme AE penalties.
But I have run into the problem that I keep getting hardcapped on MP, especially military points. I try to not pay the ahead of time penalty unless I really need it. Otherwise I will just build something in all my provinces so the monarch points are not wasted. In this fashion I have level 2 military buildings in all provinces, temple and constable in all provinces, and many other buildings. My empire is the size of France.
Am I doing something wrong or is it just a byproduct of excessive diplo annexing? I find that there are not many alternative uses of military points. Diplopoints can always be dumped into the culture conversions, admin points there is usually something to do well.
