Found this by accident.

I play Germany, I hate having my divisions going into redeploy so I placed all the divisons I was given from Hungary, Slovakia and Romania into Lwow. I went with Historcial outcome. When I go with Historical outcome after Poland is annexed I end up with 24 divisions in my list like when Austria is annexed. Its great they come in handy during the invasion of France.

That's pretty cool. Be sure to give them names to match (or roughly correspond to) the countries that so kindly "loaned" them to you. Be sure to upgrade them too; I'm sure they'd love to use all your spiffy new equipment.

I've posted this exploit before. Take control of ALL your allies troops and put them in a province of yours soon to be annexed. You can 'aquire' alot more then 24. Then deploy and upgrade. ;)

I tried this and it didnt work. I was at war with Poland, took Lowow with German troops, and placed 54 slovak, hungarian troops in the province. Waited for annexation to be available in the diplomacy screen. Anexed Poland. Had the Molotov event, gave Lowow to the soviets and the troops just stay there. What am I doing wrong?

Never tried it, but did they send the troops to you as exp. forces? My guess is if they didn't it will not work like vontiger described.

You mean for the molotov-ribbentov pact that the player should choose the "Screw the russians" option? I thought that usually meant that the Soviets would declare war on you in '42 or '41 instead of '44 or '43?

in this case i would disagree, becuse when the russians move forward. they leave the dam stalin line, and u can more easly go around them and take maby 40 enemy div, or even more sometime, only prob is that u need pretty many div your self to go around them and hold those areas. but its much easier then take the old russian line and brake thro there, also then the line is longer and u need more men just to hold your start ground when u start to invade russia

I always DoW Russia before they DoW me. Having that extra ground for your sprint for Moscow helps a lot. I never try for a Soviet collaspe. I just encircle and destroy. I shove the Russians into the mountains and build a defensive line and hold them. Place some allied armies there to defend and turn my forces onto the REAL enemy.

Telling the Russians to screw off with Poland, place a couple of 6-9 division armies with excellent defensive generals IN the swamps. The AI will try to attack here, it being your weakest link. It takes forever for his troops to march through the swamps and pretty much takes mot/mech/armor out of the picture for his assault since its takes them even longer to attack. About a day before the attack commences, tac air those guys since their org isn't high. Your 6 division defenders will be able to repel attacks of 50-60 divisions.

While his forces are commited to this assault, thrust two pincers of armor/mech to the north and south of the swamps and encircle those massive armies. Here, you remove the 'cream of the crop'. Everything else out there is/are mediocre units. Drive for Moscow. Capitol relocates to a rearward city. Paradrop in some troops to foil this ploy. Capitol relocates again. By this time, the AI is sending troops in twenty different directions with no clear plan. Now, you can systematically destroy each army you face. Use allied armies to secure your flanks. ;)
