How will you play ww2 game without ww2?

YAwmwEN said:Very small percentage chance that the UK will not support Poland in the Treaty of Munich events. That gives Poland a larger percentage chance of folding to German demands for Danzig. Also even if UK supports Poland there is like a 1% chance of Poland giving up Danzig IIRC. It isn't likely but it is possible.

Problem is, even if Poland gives up the corridor, Germany DOW's a few days later.
Federkiel said:Yes and this is the way to go:
-> Coup Poland before 30th of March 39.
-> Invite them into alliance immedeately.
-> Ban them from the alliance before M-R pact.
-> Keep relations with them high. They are still NS and like you.![]()
-> Demand new cores from them after MR-pact.
-> When "Danzig or war" fires, claim. Poland will fold with 40% probability.
This is the best you get without cheating.

For the record it is softcoded not hardcoded.jungkhans said:You will find the hardcode in the Ai-Ger event file. Event 20023 is triggered by the end of Chech events, sets the "GerInvadePoland" flag. Once this has been set, the "Danzig or War" event guarentees that a war WILL occur, regardless of outcome, due to "Poland Invasion AI" event 20002 hardcoding the event. Kinda Sucks, but this is the code.
Also, there is a fluke in the coding that Causes the following:
If you ally with the allies early, and leave after the scheduled date for the "allies offer alliance" event, the "Danzig or War" event will not fire. The "Poland Invasion AI" event WILL still fire, causing an unprovoked DOW of Poland on 02 Sept 1939. Again, this sucks and is pre-set by the "end of Czechoslovakia" events in March 1939.
The "ONLY" way to evade a hardcoded DOW of Poland, by Germany, is for Poland to be allied to Germany in August/Septenber 1939, and therefore evade the firing of "Poland Invasion AI" Event 20002. if you do this, you can leave germany after September 1939 (should you choose), and play a beligerant Poland.
Hope this helps

pomse said:Hi again, it worked I got Danzig, I have relations with poland on 200. But I can't demand new territory from poland ?
Is there not more territory from poland that I can Demand ?
Federkiel said:Did you only get Danzig or the other new cores (M-R pact) as well? It's Bydgoscz, Poznan and Torun.
If you got them - that's all. No more claims possible.
In the 38 GC there are two more provinces available: Lodz and Czestochowa. I don't know for what reasons but at least it's just in this campaign.
pomse said:No I only got Danzig, I can still claim but with 0% chance ?
Federkiel said:I did not yet experience this but was suspecting something like that. I have given up trying to understand AI logics. That is the reason why i recommend to claim the pact areas before Danzig fires. You then have a chance of 46-50% for Poland to cave in, depending on extend of good relations.
In your situation it may be necessary to ally with them again, which should still be possible. A little gamey, admittedly, but hopefully it helps you. If all fails, wait some time, improve relations to +200 and try allying/claiming again.
