I'm guessing Evangelical Majors will be France and Sweden for sure, with a maybe for Brandenburg. France would therefore receive tier 3 & 4 infantry while Sweden (& maybe Brandenburg) would receive tier 1, 3 & 4. This is speculation, but I'm pretty confident it's on point

Wouldn't the term Evangelical hint strongly towards Protestant states? Meaning it's doubtful it could be French. It's got to be Sweden, Brandenburg and potentially Switzerland, Denmark or Scotland.

Personally I think France, Sweden and Brandenburg (Prussia) will be the three members of the Evangelical Union. They got a second tier unit in the Evangelical package and are the biggest players inside that package without all tiers filled.

As I said in page 3:

I think the one in steam is the wrong DLC...
While it listed in steam launcher (not game launcher) as Evangelical Major, the one that actually get downloaded is Catholic Major Unit Pack (thus isn't listed at all in game launcher), so I can't activate it...

You can see the "Catholic Major Unit Pack" listed in game (in content menu) as inactive...
You can't see it in game launcher, while in steam launcher it is listed as Evangelical Major Unit Pack...

I didn't know we already have it downloaded!!! So, if you unzip the dlc053.zip from the DLC folder into the main Europa Universalis 4 folder you can enjoy the Catholic Majors Unit Pack until the issue is oficially solved and we're able to activate it from the launcher.

The French, although nominally Catholic, joined the thirty years war against the de-facto Catholic League, mainly so they could curb-stomp the Habsburg Austrians. Also you will find that France is included in the original "Evangelical Union Pack"

This is my inkling as well, more linking Sweden/Denmark or smaller German states.
Although the French did fight for the protestant side in the thirty years war, but they already have skins for that time period.

This seems to have unlocked the Catholic DLC, the models look exactly like the models posted just now.

Austrian tier 1 & 4 look great, all tier 3 units look very similar, Poland tier 1 is on-point, tier 4 is cool, but the Napoleonic Legions with the square head-piece would've been more fitting.

So my Steam says that I have the Evangelical Majors pack, but I can't see anything showing on the DLC list on the game launcher. I don't see a difference on the campaign map either.

Alright, so I did the unzipping trick and I could see Spain and Austria get special skins now. But what do I do with the Evangelical Majors? Aren't those Protestant?

EDIT: Disregard these, everybody else is having the same issue. I'll wait for them to sort this.

Ok, so after some digging (Mostly by SolSys, thanks for that!) seems like the reason it's hard to find the DLC in game is that we gave you the Catholics Majors Unit Pack, but the app was incorrectly labeled "Evangelical Majors Unit Pack". Those of you who've gotten a key and redeemed it, can you see the Catholics Majors in the game launcher (full steam name "Europa Universalis IV: Catholic Majors Unit Pack")

I cant see it in the game launcher, only in the "content" game as "inactive"
