Germany vs USSR

Haven't played much HoI and usualy when I play as Germany I beat the USSR before they become any major problem, but now I tried to play on a hard level and didnt dare to invade Russia.

When well the Russians declared war in 1942 (Maybe 41) they had 532 units against my 203 units which were split up between Spain and India...

I have played until 1944 and now most of Russia under my control, including Moskva, sadly Leningrad is protected with 34 Russian units something which will make it impossible for me to conquer...

The USSR was though rather successfull on the southern front and now half of Africa, India, Thailand, Turkey and most of the Middleeastern Asia under Russian control.

I have successfully slowly slaughtered their soldiers which have given them only 307 units still on the field against my 148.

Now I lack manpower, most of my army was occupied in a attempt to take Leningrad so now 40 of my units are blocked around the Baltic sea, most of my oil areas are captured and Moskva is surrounded by 87 Russians. And I got no idea how I can add my atomic bombs on my planes... (As I said, I havent played on ages).

My allies are Croatia and Austria.

So back to the questions:

Does Russia usually get this ammount of units?
Any suggestions on what to do?
How do you get your atomic bombs on planes (I have 5 atomic bombs atm but don't know how to use them)? (This would be realy helpfull as it would realease my troops that are trying to keep the 86 american units in Torino (Not sure of the name) from invading).

If you leave them untill 1942, yes.

Any suggestions on what to do?

Don't make any offensives, try to hold on to what you have untill you have a confortable amount of MP, it won't matter if you lose a couple of uselss provinces, but try to hold on to high IC/high manpower provinces. If you have indeed taken most of Russia, they will probably have more of a manpower problem than you do, so just hold out against them

To use nukes, you need to have a strategic bomber. After selecting one unit of strategic bombers, there should be a little icon that you can click in the top right corner, to load a nuke onto it. This button will be greyed out on other aircraft, and on stragic bombers before you get nukes.
