You cant get Fighter III (Advanced Light Airframe) that early. What one typically sees in multiplayer games is that Germany holds off on producing fighters until the Axis research Fighter III with Engine III and heavy machine guns and cannons.
Once all of these elements are researched, then the EuroAxis collectively puts 50 to 100 military factories on the most advanced fighters (late 1938, early 1939 IIRC).
By September, 1939, the EuroAxis have (rough estimate) 2k to 4k of advanced fighters.
I think you mean what was formerly Fighter II (Improved Light Airframe), which Italy typically researches around November 37
Is that vanilla with just industry trade-backs, or with MP mods? Because I feel like Italy doesn't have the industry for that in vanilla with how expensive fighters are now. Is Italy still being given Yugoslavia and Greece for free, and do they make collaboration governments there? Is Italy's strategy to just put 100% of its factories on fighters and not have an army until a certain point in the game? You cant get Fighter III (Advanced Light Airframe) that early.

4k fighters should be produced by Italy alone by Sep 39
Quality definitely doesnt trump quantity in the air war.
To answer OP's questions, late game germany production has become more CAS rather than Fighter focused, and Italy is expected to go up to 100 mills on gun 2/3 later on and provide the Barb inf with Mass Mob
With vanilla industry and no greece. If you dont civ greed and do yugo in early 38 with proper focus order you get 100-120 mills by sep 39, and you can start putting mills on air as soon as you get the plane in late 37. 4k is very achievable even keeping plenty (~10 factories) on gunsIs that vanilla with just industry trade-backs, or with MP mods? I'm sure my meta knowledge is out of date, but I remember Italy mostly being the "D-Day wall" country that produces some planes in the past.
Thanks. Guess it's just been a while since I played real mp, I forgot how much easier it is to produce stuff when you only have to do one or two things. Majority of mills should be on planes and guns, then a few mills on support companies for the infantry (AA for vs allies, logi company + AT for barb), and like 1-3 mill each on trains/scout plane/carrier navs if doing Japanese carriersThanks.
