Using core v0.22 with normal/normal AI settings. Tried playing Italy a lot more aggresive than historically. During the Spanish civil war, dow Spain in order to obtain decent foothold to attack Gibralter for later in game.
Afterwards move troops back to Italy and Albania to prepare attack on Yugoslavia. A limited war here and agree to peace as both Greece and Turkey have dow on Italy, but do take all their provinces along the coast. Then turn to both Greece and Turkey which eventually are annexed.
Germany does annex Poland, but had also declared war on Yugoslavia, but had no land route to send troops there. As well, Romania dow and annexes Bulgaria. It is past spring 1940 and Germany has not yet dow the low countries.
By fall 1942 Germany has done nothing on the western front. So I saved game and restarted as Germany to see what was going on in their country. Well all their units, stacks upon stacks of them are are on anti-partison duty - d'oh!!!
