germany getting large hunk of romania

in 2 games (1.06b grand campaign) i have seen germany get a large hunk of Romania territory (including the 2 provinces that USSR can demand from Romania). Germany was not at war with romania in either case. I think this is happening either after Croatia was created or maybe the Hungary event. It would seem to be a bug. I really noticed it when playing USSR. The event popped to demand the 2 provinces from Romania, which they accepted, yet the 2 provinces stayed german 'gray'.

I've seen this too. I suspect it is an AI-only event.

I think the idea is to convince AI Germany to defend the whole line from north to south and prevent Romania from getting run over by Russia...

Sorta like the cession of the English Province to the US so the AI can sort itself out.

That's exactly what it is - it's to prevent the "clockwise move", where AI Germany plunges deep into the USSR while ignoring the AI USSR crushing all the Balkans countries.

It's not really an ideal solution (the ideal solution would be for the AIs to recognize where the threat is and deploy there), but it serves for now.

Either it shouldn't include Bessarabia or the Claim Bessarabia event chain needs to make Germany secede it if Romania accepts Soviet claim.

i confirmed it happens when romania allies with germany. it hoses the USSR out of the 2 romanian provinces if they ally before the event kicks in.
