Then perhaps you should reorient towards the east becouse Germany is culturaly more similar to the russians and mongolians then to europan nations.

Germany has a history of fanatic militaristic imperialism very similar to that of the Russian empire and the Golden horde.

Even nations east of germany like Poland and the Checz republic have more incommon with western ways of thinking.

While Poland (i use it as an example since I know a lot about it)
became a democracy (crude, but still a democracy) early on with huge personal freedom and politics inspired by french philosophy germany became a paradise for military fanatics like Bismarck who created a society where the military was glorified beyond reason.

In many ways germany is mora an "eastern european country" then the eastern european countries.....
Yes, I agree.

Germany/Prussia owes much of its culture and history to the Teutonic Knights and the Livonians, which are much more 'baltic' oriented than they were European. Of course, any decent EU player knows this. ;)

hmm, to base a conclusion of german cultural bounds with Russia and Mongols of the medieval ages on the fact that late 19th-century germany of Bismarck doesn`t sound like the best scientific approach.
You can as well classify Louis XIV` endless wars as his Mongol heritage...
Good point... I think that may be a bit of a stretch. :D

Prussian culture owes a lot to its neighbors though, giving it a specific 'flavor' that central Germany and the rest of Europe didn't have.
