Yeah it's a nice Victory/standing screenie, I hope that every nation has it's unique leader. As it could be a lot of fun to try and get the Zulu leader up there

Have a question about that 'World in 1836' screenie. Are we to understand that -every- country has a graphical representation of a noteworthy statesman/general of the time period?!

However, I don´t like how the guy scares of the "casual gamer". It´s like a movie reviewer would say to his audience: "Hey...this game is too complex for you. Buy a ticket for the next Jackie Chan movie instead." Absurd. It´s like he is scared that his review will make someone buy the game and then be pissed at him because they find it too complex.
And, I also can´t understand why he complains about the graphics....they look great!
Yeah. What is wrong with this guy? He is obviously using those FPS or other games as the "graphic" standard. Yet, for grand strategy games like Victoria, EU2, HoI, etc. that is unfair to judge it based on that.Originally posted by kucing
And yeah, the graphic looks nice and he gives only 6??? He must be expecting something like FPS.

WithinGames reviews all kind of games. As a reviewer of a general gaming site, I have to look at the average reader and can't write in favor of one party - neither hardcore gamers nor casual ones. I have to keep a good balancing (just like the developers should do in their products) in my whole work. If you look at the whole big picture of today's gaming industry, I can't rate Vicky higher, even if I personally would appreciate higher ratings for all Paradox Games because of my personal prefernce..

Yeah in 1836 neither sweden nor denmark should be world powers. Denmark was the size it is today and sweden had "posession" of a semi-autonomous sweden.

Hi to you all, guys.
Hi, and welcome, Alex. And sorry for my harsh words..o
Thank you for explaining the article!
Anyway the bit about "I can't rate Vicky higher, even if I personally would appreciate higher ratings for all Paradox Games because of my personal prefernce.." would have been a nice comment to end your article with.
