I dont know if i have messed up the files or if this is normal, but the germans org is quite low compared to the soviets , for example in 1943 german inf have 46 org max and soviets are in the 70s, is this normal? If so how can this be realistic?

Far as I know, Germany does take a lot less organization damage compared to what it dishes out during battles, allowing them to potentially break enemies with higher organization; this however means that true to reality, the Maneuver doctrine is geared towards finishing wars quickly, whereas the comparatively massive Soviet organization value from the Manpower doctrine allows them to keep up a long-winded slogfest and drawn-out wars at a much greater efficiency than Germany, albeit at a higher cost to Manpower.

I already brought this up on an other thread, i was basically told i was bad at the game, :'( . (some one cant take constructive criticism with out taking it personal in my humble opinion)

none the less i agree with you, German army was one of the most organized armies the world knew at the time,

Plus it is hard to have successful Blitzkrieg tactics against the USSR when they out number and out organize German and Allied Armies. Sort of defeats the purpose playing as Germany unless you start in 1941 scenario.

I haven't noticed such a massive strength disparity between my Germany and the Soviet Union (until they get their billions of cheap-ass units, at least.) that could prevent breakthroughs from working.

Then again, I totally neglect air and sea units (except, in the latter case, loads and loads of submarines because they're comparatively cheap to create and replace) until after the continent is secure, I worry about the other places later on.

Please use the search function, this subject has been debated multiple before. Just to give you a summary: ORG is how long a unit will hold a combat. But GDE (ground defense efficiency), which some players unfortunately tend to underestimate, is the other important factor determining how many hits units take during a given combat. The Red Army has a higher ORG and a lower GDE, which means they will fight longer (than the French for instance) and suffer a lot more casualties. And that is exactly what happened during Barbarossa.

Org also determines the abiltiy to travel across distances and this is where the mobility doctrine suffers the most imo.
IIRC in HoI2 org regain was affected by the maximum org units had, is this still the case in DH?
