In the year1653...
The times for the German Republic are bright. Steady income, high stability and secure borders, excellent men at the court and the current president is the finest man on the planet (skill 9/9/9).
Everythings fine but one thing. The British Empire as defender of the catholic fate is likely to interfere in the planned attack on Austria to claim the german core territories.
To prepare for that, Great Britain must be defeated. A task not easy to accomplish. The land force of GB almost matches the German Army and the naval force is unparalleled.
Preparations are unavoidable. Scout ships are sent to the coast of England to gather information. The main german fleet sent to the mouth of the River Thames to prevent the english home fleet, consisting of 15 large and 10 medium warships, to interfere with the invasion fleet of about 50 flytes,
built in a massive effort in less than one year.
The attack will be done by the Home Guard and the 3rd Army. British forces on England are estimated some 40,000 men strong. Another 40,000 men are stationed at the african colonies. Those will face the 2nd, 7th and the 10th Army about 18,000 men strong each.
The colonies in the Americas are all guarded by small forces 2,000 to 4,000 men strong. The holdings in the Far East by another 22,000. The rest of the german land forces are spread over the homeland (about 60,000 men) and in the Middle East (ca. 45,000 men) to ensure that the allied milanese forces can’t undertake successful landing operations there.
Naval forces all over the world not taking part in the invasion are retracted to near ports to keep them save, even if it means risking piracy for the time being.
The plan is to force Great Britain to cede its colonies in Africa and ruin it by overstretching the willingness of its people to support a war fought at their very homes in Europe. Several Generals have also though about using the 3rd and 4th army - totalling more than 40,000 men to attack the mainland holdings of GB in France. But there are some heavy arguments about it as it would leave only one army left to deal with any uprising in the Homelands. And the Homelands are a vast expansion stretching about 6,000 kilometers from east to west from Trier to Kazan.
