Hi, I just wanted to inform the HOI III community about a new spritepack, we will finish soon

This new spritepack will contain 87 new animated 3D-Models (not just skins), including units from 1934 until 1945. So Germany will get one unique sprite for each technology that changes the sprite.

You will get complete new animated 3D Models with complete new -different- equipment, like different Wehrmacht helmets, Wehrmacht caps and gear for each unit.

Also the new spritepack will add new different weapons to your sprites like the FG 42, Flammenwerfer 34, Stg 44 and the mighty MG 42 (e.g.)

In the next week the spritepack will be finished. The release will be determined by the sales department of Paradox Interactive. But I think they will release them as soon as possible....

Does tank sprites or armor vehicules like marines amtracks, tank destroyer and cold war sprites will be release? There is many infantry sprites in the game but the WW II was a mecanised war.

No, this spritepack will fill gabs of the German infantry sprites. This spritepack will add multilevel sprites for ALL (87 pcs.) german researched "Infantry Models" of the game from 1934 until 1944 (e.g. tank destroyer in the game are represented by an infantry sprite 3d model, because they are only support brigades of 1000 men....) But it is planned to make some more sprites for halftracks and mobile infantry , as soon as possible.... (also other nations are planned for this project)

Yes fully compatible with all spritepack DLCs and musicpack DLCs + no changes with the checksum and they are so steam friendly like all the other spritepacks.
I dont know if mods are supporting sprites, of course this can only be answered by the mod developers.

Sorry Herr Reichsmarschall the new weapons with the "Krummlauf" are not matured - It seems that there is a tiny error ....

I just played a 1936 DIG Mod game with new spritepack installed. It seems that it is compatible to the Dig Mod All units I have build were running fine. I tested several Heer, Marine and Luftwaffe units.

Than I have built some of the new included units of the DIG Mod. This is running fine too, so every of the new units will be shown as one of the "old" sprites...

The only "problem" the new packet seems to have with the DIG Mod is that the "old" weapons of the new sprites are shown on the ground below them. To get this issue solved you have to copy the new sprite avatar you'll get ith the new spritepack into the interface folder of the DIG Mod....

BTW the Common weapons of WWII MOD sees to run with the new spritepack, too

I haven't tested all units with these two mods, because the new spritepack is containing really much new sprites and it would fill hours to test every single unit in the game, so
if someone knows any german unit making trouble when playing DIG Mod with the "old" spritepacks, please tell me, so that I can test this units with the new spritepack, too...

but you already have panzers from the previous german spritepack.
