Just before taking the last step in partitioning Czechoslovakia I checked my relations with Russia which were +50. I chose the 'partition with Hungary' option which says 'relations with Russia -10'. After the partition my relations were '-10'. I assumed the -10 meant they would drop from +50 to +40. A 60 point drop is a bit steep.

Also German relations with Italy seem to take a very steep drop during the Anschluss process. My relations with Italy at the start of the decision were +70. After doing the 'demand territory' (100%) my relations with Italy dropped to -20. That's a 90 point drop.

If this is correct then my bad, it seem like a bug though. I checked and didn't see anything relating to this so I apologize if it's already been addressed. I'm playing the 1933 scenario.

I kind of guessed 'demand territory' caused the problems with Italy, but still....a 90 point drop? Wow. By the way it didn't have any effect on Russian relations. Also to my 1st question about my relations with Russia taking a 60 point hit when I split Czech with Hungary. The event only said '-10' to relations with Russia, not that my relations would drop to a '-10'. I played a little further and '-5' hit when claiming Kalpedia was added in, not made the new relation level. After the Kal claim I went from '-7' to '-12' with Russia.

Just to make sure I understand this. There is a double hit to relations (regarding Russia) with the split and then annexation of Czechoslovakia. The hits total a -60 points to relations with Russia?

When you annex a country, you suffer a relations hit with the other countries. So yes, there is a double hit to relations with Soviet Union because the first event lowers the relations with SOV by 10 more (as Soviet Union wanted to protect Czechoslovakia).
