I'm not sure if either of these are bugs, but they seem odd. Firstly, my son was born with the Genius trait but lost it and had it replaced with Quick. I don't know why. Secondly, during votes, the king's vote doesn't seem to act as tie-breaker as I read somewhere it should. Even if there's an equal number of people voting for and against and the king is in one group the other group will sometimes succeed.

The former is likely due to the event that can give a child quick/strong/etc as part of their upbringing, and it's a mutually exclusive trait with Genius. It's part of the weirdness with having quick/strong/slow/whatever as both congenital and acquired traits.

I have a similar problem - but instead of the law being rejected, nothing happens. I waited over a year, then one of my counselors died and his replacement finally voted against me. Is it supposed to last that long?

Law votes can take some time, very rare that it would take over a year, but since a councillor died during the voting period and was replaced it doesn't seem too out of place.

Ah, I got it: I didn't give out the adviser title, but that empty seat counted as a seat and the program was waiting for that vote. Handed it out to someone with high opinion et voilà.

@MyFaceBurns
You need to hand that title out of the my council tab (the empty spot doesn't show up in the positions tab), fixes the issue with war declaration as well.

Yeah, I think the issue with the tie-breaking was more a misunderstanding on how the council worked rather than a bug. Thanks.

With regards to Genius being replaced with quick - there's at least one event chain (that I know of) that is supposed to do that exact replacement; was the child in question rowdy, perhaps?
