Get a wrong culture wrong religion province and have it constantly revolting. Then use the military tradition to get lots of generals and conquer your continent with their superior skills :D

You could even send a small army to fight the rebels and keep retreating it...
Those Spaniards were exploiting the situation from the beginning: I knew the Dutch Revolts were just cover for their officer training programme!

;)

2) Why would you earn any tradition for retreating your army? ;)
Not if you order the retreat by yourself before the battle gets underway, but maybe your officers are learning from the very tactics the enemy is using to kick the living daylights out of them. At least, the ones that survive. :p

Yep that's a pretty good idea too. My point 2 only stands of course if tradition is still gained by losing a battle. Otherwise you can just keep pounding the rebels into the ground.

Sending in thons of 1k armies into battles? ;)

That also would promote the idea of turbo piracy. :p
Why would you earn more prestige from sending 100 1k armies into battle compared to one 100k army?

My point is that it is possible to anticipate many (most?) of these exploits and build a system that can handle it. It's not like any of the suggestions here hasn't been thought of already :)

Havard makes a god point.

It is also worth mentioning that we the second phase of the beta has begun, and one task of such betas is to test the game for exploits and the likes. I am sure that most such occurances will be found out before release - it is much easier once you see the actual game mechanics at work. I recommend to enjoy the updates and infos coming out to the General Discussion here rather than to worry about possible exploits.

Once we have released the game we will be greatful for all imput from those who play the game, as it is not impossible that there may be an update or two. ;)
