I am happy with the game so far as they have very nicely captured the elements of the board game. Great job to all those involved.

I do have a few suggestions for the campaign that I believe will improve the game.
1. The AI is currently weak and I find the battles all too easy. Improvements would be appreciated. Perhaps the ability to choose a hard or extra hard mode would be a way to implement.
2. Limiting evasion to a maximum of 4 bars makes light, fast mechs useless. The Blackjack can generate this many bars while sprinting ... seems unfair to the Locust or Jenner to be limited to the same evasion as a Blackjack.
3. Perhaps I am not far enough into the game yet (I recently got the Argo and have had time for two upgrades to it) but I find money is really easy to get and I am not struggling financially at all. I have purchased every "special" weapon or component at every store and I still have abundant money. I would prefer this to be a bit more challenging as I currently have no struggles paying the bills.
4. Long range combat is pretty much non-existent so long range weapons have limited value. This is a bit opposite to the board game where certain mechs were superb long range fighters (but poor close range). I find myself swapping out all my long range weapons for short range weapons and I am easily dominating my opponents in battle.
5. I would definitely purchase an expansion that allows the creation of a merc unit from the start (and a different story of course). I find always starting with the Blackjack will reduce replay-ability.

I would mainly attribute that to the fact that most mechs (while maybe canonically correct) have extremely low loads - you simply cannot fit enough long range weapons onto a mech to make it viable (whitout turning the armor so low that it is pretty much non existend at least. SRMs and Medium Lasers on the other hand are killer bang for the buck weapons (with fully armored mechs). I find myself struggling to fit anything beyond a LRM10 on the mediums and first heavy mechs - simply put the shortrange loadouts just work better and I went so far as to sell all mechs that cant fit a good short range loadout because I know I will not use them as you cannot build somewhat efficient or reliable builds on them that arent a cobbled together mix of all kinds of weapons. - adding 5 tons of load to every mech would go a long way to have a broader variety of mechs/loadouts you could field.

But thats probably the min-maxer speaking (I got spoiled by MWO)
