General De Gualles Role in HoI4

Was wondering if Mon General will have a the potential of being the french leader before and after french capitulation, I highly doubt he will be looked over a officer in the army at the start but would definitely like to see him have more representation giving his significance to French role in the war. I like the idea of him leading the nationalist party as he was an immense advocate of French nationalism despite his adherence to a democracy, I would totally try to have him take over before the armistice and turning the french empire into a devastating war machine bringing the spirit of napoleon.

He was in HOI3, so I don't see why not.

I use him all the time when playing as France (but since he's just one leader, I still end up sticking Gamelin somewhere).

Ya like I said I'd be shocked if they look over him as an officer but what I really like to know is if they will give his pretty awesome moments in history tid bits that pop up and allow him to be a political figure.

de Gaulle would have a role in history for his role in the internal debates in the pre-war French Army. Whether or not he would rise to supreme command and political power would depend a lot on the fate of France, which as it happened historically placed great discredit upon much of the senior officer corps as well as politicians while de Gaulle's actions added luster to his reputation (there were few enough bright spots in the Battle of France). The politics might be different in a France that avoids a couple of big strategic errors and carries through more with the admittedly costly actual construction of defenses and equipment enabling it to last longer or even bring the Germans to a halt despite superior German training and leadership.
