General Beck, be my lead - A Paternal Autocrat German AAR

Tired of the same Adolf Hitler? Want some variety? Is Alternate History what you crave? Then you'll love this AAR! Starting with the 1932 elections, I will go though the first 4 years with the beginning of the German Civil War and its effects, with Beck leading the more militant and less National Socialist crowd. Certain events will be both happening earlier and later, as Beck will treat the situations differently. If anyone has any suggestions, please PM or ask me and I will consider them.

Expect the first update no later than late February.

Why Beck? He wasn't chief of staff until '33, and this was his opinion of the Nazi takeover...

I have wished for years for the political revolution, and now my wishes have come true. It is the first ray of hope since 1918.

In the early '30s before the Machtergreifung, he actually appeared as a defense witness for officers charged with NSDAP membership.

May I suggest an alternative? Wilhelm Groener. He has both the military credentials and a political background that would make him acceptable to all parties in a civil war (except maybe Hindenburg, who had kind of foisted the responsibility for telling the Kaiser that Germany had lost off on Groener).

Well, I was planning to have Beck as the HoS, maybe.

Maybe Groener, but I was intending on Beck as a warlord, I will consider it. Beck will have a crucial role regardless.
