I forgot to mention that we have set down scenario freeze, so any scenario fix suggestions will have to wait until after 1.05 is released. Please accept my apologies for such dreadful forgetfulness.

Also as any coding is extremely unlikely to happen for 1.05, fixes involving coding are unlikely to happen, but having all those small things requiring coding gathered up in one place is surely useful in the future.

Um. Please tell me you're kidding.

The area bug won't be fixed?

What is the point of the patch then?

So .... .... if there are no scenario or code changes to be considered, then basically "it is what it is". We may be able to polish it a little, but essentially 1.05 will be very similar to the August beta we've all been playing with.

Have there been any significant changes made between August and now, that will make 1.05 different/better?

EDIT: Sorry, after reading my post it sounded way more negative than I meant it to. Look, I appreciate everything that Paradox has done for this game (my wife wishes I didn't like the game so much, but that's a different story ;) ). There's always going to be more that I'd like to see done, but if this is it for 1.05 then I just want to say "thank you". It will still be the most enjoyable game I've played (along with EUII) ever.

No, and there won´t be either. 1.05 should not be judged based on what it changes from the latest beta patch but only on what it changes from 1.04a. It is as it is, only the really important stuff is changed anymore.

Hehe, you really can't participate in an open beta and then complain when it turns out the difference between the final beta version and the release version is insignificant :). I mean, that's the way it's supposed to work - in an ideal world, the final beta version should be virtually identical (actually, 100% identical) to the release version.

And yeah, like Grosshaus said, you need to look at the changes made since 1.04a, not since the August 15th beta. And those changes are incredibly, amazingly enormous - Paradox patch changelogs are usually pretty lengthy, but the changelog for 1.05 will be... oh, about twenty times longer ;).

I don't think they will put in new COA's. That is something for the players to mod themselvers.

CoA definedly not.

New events definedly not, but existing ones can be tweaked. Changing of MTTHs, tweaking effects, fixing typos and such.

Historical settings, realm distributions or culture changes are in general a no-no.

Building, tech and trait effects and whatever can be tweaked.

Stuff that is changed in the code will most likely be changed only if there is a serious bug that is straighforward to fix. New features will not happen. Crashes will be fixed, especially if they are reproducable.

The area bug will be fixed. I was referring to the plentiful other requests involving coding. Sorry about that.

And to echo Grosshaus, tweaks are primarily in regards to config files and event files.

Either must the area bug be fixed or you must remove all events using the area command.

Well I don't think they will release a official patch with a well known, alltough hard to cure, a rather serious bug in it. That would indeed be weird.

Happy to hear that area bug will be fixed. All CK needs is these few bugs fixed and little tweaking here and there. Then it's little bit closer to perfection. :D

EDIT: I must add that I'm eagerly waiting new patch, hopefully it won't delay since I have planned that I would spend my holidays playing at least one complete grand campaign. :D

I'm hoping atleast the bug with the monthly changes in stats not working is fixed. MrT mentioned he was putting on Johan's priority list and almost all of the changes in traits were made specifically in mind that it would be fixed.

Also the recent thread on alliances reminded me of something. This may not be documented, but you cannot create intra-realm alliances even if you could normally, but if somehow you create an alliance and later both parties become of the same realm, they still retain that alliance, reguardless of their loyalty. I remember it being discussed that intra-realm alliances were suppose to be allowed, whatever your loyalty. I know that probably won't be fixed, but thought it should be brought up.

One question: new events that Mr.T asked to traslate in this thread, have been applied on 15th August beta patch, will be applied on 1.05 patch, or will be dead and buried?

No events will be removed from the current beta unless they are broken beyong possibility to repair. No new events will be added to the current beta unless very specific circumstances. I don´t know about the events in question but those two guidelines should cover all possible events :)

Zebedee and I dealt with the English text corrections that Mr T asked for in the same thread. I know that those are in use in the current Beta, and will therefore go through to 1.05. Not sure about other languages.

The only difference between patches of different language will be their language. If an event is in the English version it will also be in Spanish etc. versions.
