Howdy! I had a couple of ideas for Stellaris that might make for good DLC (or a mod)!

Firstly, gender dimorphism. This has been brought up in the past, but I'll mention it again as something I think would be pretty cool. Having the ability to set whether your pops vary greatly between males and females would add a lot to the alienness and strangeness of the galaxy, I feel. This could be achieved in a couple of ways; firstly, allow players to choose the option at species gen. This could give them two species to assign traits to. Bonus points if you allow them to choose a different portrait for males and females of the species (in the same species type, ie. fungoid). This would likely need to be balanced somewhat, maybe by giving a happiness penalty if there's no members of the opposite gender on the planet.

This could also feed into events where a non-dimorphic species could have offshoots that become so! That could be pretty cool.

Secondly, gendered leadership. Matriarchies and whatnot. This feeds off the previous idea somewhat, as one half of a dimorphic species could be better suited to certain roles. Females might make better scientists, that sort of thing. In a non-dimorphic species this would just be more of a flavour choice. Either way, an option in the Policies list to set this would be pretty nice!

(Also, more empire colours please.)

Certainly an interesting option. I think that Matriarchies would add a cool bit of diversity to the galaxy (think Asari, etc.) and that having species with extreme gender dimorphism is a great option.

While humans don't really have enough differences between the capabilities of the genders to justify completely different traits, I think for some species that would be a great option (a lot of insects seem to display this type of extreme variation, which is cool).
