Here's the new preview .

It mostly informs about what the premises of the game are, but there's some new info. It seems there are 10 different classes and there's some concern that the humor is lost from the original game. It's a bit strange that hardly anyone brings up a new feature... Maybe it's because it's so alike, but we know there are parties in the game for example... why not mention them?

What do think about their concerns of humor? I imagine it's difficult to combine the original's cornyness with the new, somewhat realistic 3D-graphics and with the more realistic pace of the game... We haven't heard the voices yet, but those will of course have a large impact on how the game feels.
Should they try to make it humorous at the risk of failing or go for a more serious tone?

I think you can combine humor with 3D graphics. What's more challenging is that it's a different group of developers who probably have their own sense of humor. Is theirs like Cyberlore's? To match the original's sense of humor the answer would have to be "yes" and honestly, since it's a different team, I kinda doubt it.

So I think it can be humorous but probably different from Cyberlore's Majesty.

One wonders if the reviewers missed the early trailers...

One thing it has been observed is that they've removed the mohawks on the skeletons, which is a step away from 'too silly' - and if they're still using the caricatured warrior models, it wasn't really obvious in the trailer. but I suspect Gamespy's "concerns" over humour are based off extrapolating too far from a single data point.
