Gay marriage seems a bit too modern for CK2...

I got the event where I catch two of my courtiers carrying on an illicit relationship, and I get the option to either force them to break up or force them to marry. The event didn't seem to check the fact that both were men, and I forced them to marry. Now I have two men married together in my court; one of them is actually my court chaplain, listed as a "wife".

I assume this is not WAD?

Or maybe the developers are taking a really progressive mindset

This is definitely a bug you should probably report it

this is a pretty well-known "bug" during seclusion (when you hide from a disease). It doesn't really affect the game in any meaningful way (you can object to their marriage if you want to) and to my knowledge it has been in the game since reapers due.

After all, they added Status of Women before something like, say Status of Peasants.
I mean, it's not like conflicts over serfdom, peasants being allowed to leave the manor and such were actually relevant in middle ages

If they want gay to be able to marry in this game, then it should only do so after adding a mechanic where they can marry secretly. If someone not gay found out, they will be punished accordingly(not sure how they punish gays during the medieval age). Only families and friends have the option to look the other way if they found out about it. Anything other than that is just blatantly stupid.
